Pre-Assembly Technician 1 (PAT-1)

The purpose of this Job Description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance of the Pre-Assembly Department and its crew.

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this Job Description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance of the Pre-Assembly Department and its crew.

2.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

You will report directly to and are accountable to, the Pre-Assembly Manager. It is required and expected that you will comply with all reporting requirements that is put forth by PJ’s Rebar, Inc. and supplied to you by your PAT3 (Pre-Assembly Technician 3).

3.0 REQUIREMENTS:

3.1 Experience

3.1.1 Preferred: 2 years of job related experience.

3.2 Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

3.2.1 Must have the ability to accurately and timely fill out all forms requested by PJ’s Rebar, Inc..

3.3 Physical:

3.3.1 Body Positions:  Standing, sitting, and walking

3.3.2 Body Movements:  Carrying items, use of hands, eyes, arms and voice.

3.3.3 Able to lift 50 pounds

3.4 Mental:

3.4.1 Working knowledge and demonstrated skill with regard to: simple math, reading and writing English. Reading blueprints and specifications. Demonstrated knowledge of all tools and equipment used to perform the work.

3.5 Working Conditions:  Outdoors in a manufacturing environment.

4.0 AUTHORITY

4.1 You will be given the necessary authority to conduct, manage and administer your job duties as they pertain the job, such as assembly of pre-assembled material, operation of machinery, etc

5.0 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

5.1 Ensure that all work pertaining to this position is completed within the scope of work and specifications provided by PJ’s Rebar, Inc.

5.2 All safety precautions are being taken, such as rigging, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, etc.

5.3 Must give appropriate attention quality of work. Ensuring that all work is done to the highest level workmanship.

5.4 Must follow the corporate safety plan / IIPP.

5.5 Machinery: PJ’s Rebar, Inc. expects its equipment owned or rented to be kept in exceptional condition by the crew of the equipment being used. It is you’re responsibly to keep it clean of mud and other elements that may affect its future performance. Random inspections will be conducted on your machinery and work area. Refusal to keep your equipment and work area clean may result in termination of your employment.

6.0 MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE

QUALITY OF WORK

(1) Control of consumables, ie. hard hats, gloves,  tie-wire, etc.              

(2) Reports, etc. are turned in on schedule. 

(3) Up keep of your machinery & equipment.

(4) Able to perform job with little or no supervision.

(5) Work area clean up:  Is done on daily basis.

(6) Comply with and obey all safety requirements and standards.

(7) Quality:  Little or no amount of re-work.

(8) Continually strives to improve job performance.

(9) Tends to be helpful and productive beyond assigned duties.

(10) Uses time and effort efficiently.
